What's Next?

I have been working the past number of years at a local quilt shop.  A number of you local supporters already know this and have chatted with me there, which I love!  In recent months, under new ownership, I have been working a lot more than I was previously, and it has been wonderful!  I am thrilled to work in a creative environment that allows me to visit with the public and feeds equally into my creative and entrepreneurial strengths.

That being said, I am an entrepreneur at heart and am at my best when working on a project, or multiple 😅  For those of you who have been around since the very beginning, the Hawthorn & Wool days, this won't be a surprise to you, but I am an avid lover of yarn.  I have knit, crocheted and cross stitched for over a decade now and am making the leap back into the fibre world, from an entrepreneurial perspective!

I am excited to share that Wildlight Stitchery is in development.  The heart of Wildlight is hand-dyed yarns but my love of textiles has obviously flourished in recent years so expect to see some sewn goods from time to time as well.  I have a number of other wonderful things planned for this business but as with all good things, it will take time.  If you'd like to follow along on this journey, you can currently find Wildlight on Instagram @wildlightstitchery and Facebook @Wildlight Stitchery, or pop by my website to sign up for email updates, I would be so honoured to have you!

If you ever find yourself in the floral world and need someone to chat with, please don't hesitate to reach out to me.  While Hawthorn has been the past nine and a half years of my life, I have spent the past twenty years as a florist, and some things you just never forget.

Thank you one last time, flower lovers, for your support these past nine and a half years, it has meant so very much to me. ♡
