Our Dahlia Tubers
Thank you for your interest in purchasing dahlia tubers from us! While this is the first time offering our dahlia tubers in a sale format, we have been growing dahlias for six years! Being urban growers does not allow for as much room to grow as we would like but it hasn't stopped us from fitting flowers into every nook and cranny of the yard! The amount of dahlia tubers available varies greatly within the varieties that we offer, this is all part of being a smaller grower.
All tubers sold on our site have been grown by us. Before heading out to you, we do a thorough inspection where we confirm the health of the tuber as well as its viability, all tubers have at minimum one visible eye.
Tuber size is not indicative of tuber health. Different varieties produce different sizes and shapes. If you are new to dahlia growing (welcome!) please do not be alarmed to see a variety of sizes and shapes within your order. If you smell a faint hint of cinnamon within your dahlias tubers, do not be alarmed! We dust cinnamon on all tuber cuts for its fungicide and root boosting properties.
Because our tubers have started to awaken, eyes beginning to swell, perhaps even the odd root forming, we recommend potting your tubers upon receiving them versus putting them back into cold storage. Pick Up + Local Delivery
All orders placed for pick up and local delivery will be ready to go Monday, April 1st at 9am.
Local delivery times will be confirmed prior to heading out to you as someone will need to be home to receive your order.
Warman pick up instructions will be emailed to you once we receive your order.
If you are unavailable to pick up or receive your order on April 1st, that is no problem at all. Please reach out to us after placing your order to arrange a later date and time.
For any orders placed after April 1st, please contact us to arrange a pickup date and time once you've placed your order.
Shipping
We only ship within Canada at this time.
All orders ship via Canada Post Expedited for a flat rate of $25. Any significant shipping and handling overages will be refunded.
All orders will be shipped once the risk of frost has passed in the prairie provinces. This is likely mid April to early May.
We are happy to combine orders. Please contact us at the link below with your order information requesting the combination of your orders.
